Hollywood Forgot How To Make Interesting Films
The list of upcoming films from CinemaCon 2025 makes me realize one of two things:
- Hollywood is only making sequels, remakes, and films for immature audiences
- I’m getting old and grumpy
Item 2 is likely true but item 1 is undeniable. As a movie lover I find it incredibly sad to see Hollywood isn’t planning to make interesting films anymore. It’s no wonder I watch mostly older films these days.
Nintendo is pricing themselves out of the market
The Switch was $299 when it launched and the games were $60.
The Switch 2 console is $500. Switch 2 games will be $80-$90 and are apparently not available as physical media.
